Bob Wallace is a three generation, family run orchard that is nestled on the banks of the Opossum Creek in Central Illinois and along the Wild Rice River in the Red River Valley of North Dakota. The care and dedication to quality that goes into every bottle of our premium wines and juices are a tribute to the legacy of hard work and excellence that has been handed down to us from our fathers, Bob and Wallace.

Our dedication to quality begins at the growing stage of our berries. We use agronomic practices that encourage natural fertilization and minimal pesticides. Each berry is carefully selected and handpicked to ensure that only the best berries are utilized for our wines.

What grows in nature can often be affected by the weather, terrior and growing practices. These occurrences can result in changing fruit availably and taste differences in produce. Cottonwood Cider House views these unpredictable happenings as an opportunity to create a truly distinctive cider from year to year. “Our goal is not to recreate last year’s cider. Our goal is to make amazing cider that is unique to the time that it was crafted.” Our ciders are made from apples, hops, and other fruit grown for us by Cottonwood Farm. Cottonwood Farm’s orchard has over 40 different apple varieties. Some of these cultivars are antique types like Campfield and Roxbury Russet; other varieties are more common such as Honeycrisp and Haralson. To meet demand and to compliment Cottonwood Farm’s apples, sometimes we use apples we call “found” apples. These are apples we harvest from our family, friends, and neighbors’ trees. In addition to these apples, Cottonwood Cider House sometimes brings in the best possible quality juice from nearby states. We are cider nuts that drink a lot of cider from all over the world. We’ve traveled from coast to coast and everywhere in between on our quest to learn how to make awesome cider. Our hope is that you will enjoy our cider and become a cider nut too.

Tucked along the Wild Rice River near Colfax, Dakota Vines Vineyard and Winery is proud to be part of North Dakota’s growing wine movement. Since opening in 2018, our family-owned winery has been dedicated to crafting quality wines from cold-climate grapes that thrive in the Northern Plains. Each bottle reflects the character of our unique region and the warmth of the people who call it home.

Rookery Rock Winery, is located just North of Exit 322 on I-94 (Absaraka exit) at Agassiz Shores Orchard & Vineyard. The winery features wines produced from fruit, berries, and cold hardy grapes grown in the 12-acre orchard and vineyard on the site, which is on the Campbell Beach of ancient Lake Agassiz. Jams, jellies and other products from the orchard will also be available at the winery.
